APSAC has a New Name!
Last year, the APSAC Board requested input from APSAC membership to inform discussions around changing and evolving APSAC’s current name, the Association of Professionals Solving the Abuse of Children.
After receiving valuable input from APSAC members, the vast majority of members supported a name change. The APSAC Board listened and voted to adopt a new “doing business as” (DBA) name. As of June 23, 2025, APSAC will transition and conduct business as the Association of Professionals Solving the Abuse of Children (APSAC).
This change reflects the evolution of the child maltreatment and welfare field. APSAC’s mission and vision will not change. We remain committed to supporting multi-disciplinary professionals working together to solve child abuse and translating research into practice for professionals globally.
Over the next year of transition, we realize you will still find the previous name in some materials. We aim to transition fully by 2026.
Please note:
- The Mission and Vision of APSAC will not change.
- The acronym (APSAC) will remain the same.
- The legal name will remain Association of Professionals Solving the Abuse of Children, Inc.
