34th APSAC Colloquium
Theme: Rhythm of Collaboration
Pre-Institutes: Sunday, June 20, 2027
Colloquium: Monday–Thursday, June 21–24, 2027
Location: Sheraton New Orleans
For more than three decades, the APSAC Colloquium has served as a premier gathering for professionals, researchers, and advocates dedicated to preventing and responding to child maltreatment. Now in its 34th year, this leading conference continues to bring together respected experts, emerging voices, and multidisciplinary professionals for an unparalleled learning, networking, and collaboration experience.
The 34th APSAC Colloquium embraces the theme Rhythm of Collaboration, recognizing that meaningful change happens when diverse perspectives come together with a shared purpose. Child protection requires coordinated efforts across disciplines, systems, and communities. This year’s Colloquium will highlight the power of collaboration to strengthen practice, advance research, inspire innovation, and create lasting impact for children and families.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of New Orleans, attendees will experience a city where culture, creativity, and connection naturally converge. Much like a jazz ensemble, professionals from different backgrounds bring unique strengths and perspectives that, when combined, create something greater than the sum of its parts. Together, we will explore how harmonizing our efforts can lead to bold solutions and stronger outcomes for children and families.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Colloquium returns to New Orleans, a city where scholarship meets soul. Attendees return year after year not only for the exceptional educational opportunities, but also for the connections, culture, and sense of community that make this event truly special. From second-line parades and jazz-filled evenings to meaningful conversations over beignets and coffee, the APSAC Colloquium offers countless opportunities to build relationships, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations that continue long after the conference concludes.
