Please join APSAC in congratulating the first recipients of the Visionary Leadership Award, Troy and Tommi Vincent. In 2025, the APSAC Board of Directors established the Visionary Leadership Award. This Award recognizes an esteemed individual or corporation that has demonstrated exceptional foresight, dedication, and leadership in advancing partnerships and efforts to prevent child abuse and interpersonal violence. It honors those who have made a profound impact through innovative initiatives, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to creating a safer and healthier future for individuals, families, and communities.

Troy Vincent, Sr. is a distinguished sports executive, former NFL star, and lifelong advocate for community impact. A standout Cornerback in the National Football League, Mr. Vincent played for the Miami Dolphins, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, and Washington Redskins. He’s been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and holds a place in the Sports Hall of Fame for the Eagles, the State of Pennsylvania, the University of Wisconsin, and his alma mater, Pennsbury High School. Beyond his athletic achievements, Mr. Vincent embodies leadership off the field. He is a past recipient of the NFL’s prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, recognizing his excellence both as a player and as a humanitarian. In 2025, Sport for Impact further honored him by naming him to its inaugural Walter Payton Man of the Year Ring of Honor, celebrating his ongoing selfless contributions to society.

Today, Troy Vincent Sr. serves as the Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the NFL, where he continues to influence the game and champion positive change in communities across the country.
However, one of his greatest achievements is marrying Tommi Vincent. Mrs. Vincent is a chef, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, multimedia personality and writer best known as the matriarch of Vincent Country. She has built an exemplary family and diverse career around faith-filled leadership and community development. Committed to eradicating domestic violence through awareness, prevention, and education, Mrs. Vincent sits on the Board of the National Domestic Violence Hotline. In 2021, Mrs. Vincent launched Stay A While, a podcast satisfying the hunger for connection and a judgment-free conversation. Every episode, Tommi Vincent breaks bread with bold, passionate everyday women who have faced the impossible, and are still standing to tell their testimony.

Please join APSAC in recognizing a family whose work truly exemplifies visionary leadership. More than 22 years ago, the Vincents founded Love Thy Neighbor Community Development & Opportunity Corporation in their hometown of Trenton, New Jersey. What began as a local humanitarian effort has grown into a national force for good, empowering individuals and transforming communities across the country. Guided by their unwavering commitment to service, the Vincents have partnered with schools, food suppliers, service organizations, and corporations to meet the diverse needs of children and families. Their work addresses educational inequities, provides school supplies, fosters youth leadership, creates safe spaces for young people, and ensures year-round access to nutritious meals. Through their efforts, they have raised millions of dollars and positively impacted tens of thousands of lives. Today, Love Thy Neighbor focuses on the most critical issues facing families: improving elementary education and preventing domestic violence through education and awareness, Safe Zones Create Safe Havens. The Vincent family has built far more than a nonprofit, they have built a legacy of service, hope, and opportunity. Their vision has not only uplifted communities but inspired countless others to believe in the power of compassion, prevention, and collective action.
