TF-CBT is an evidence-based treatment for children and families exposed to traumatic life events. This webinar will focus on the implementation of TF-CBT with children in foster care. Issues to be addressed will include interfacing with the legal and child welfare systems, whether to include the foster parents, biological parents or both in treatment, and dealing with grief and loss.
Dr. Anthony Mannarino is the Director of the Center for Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents and Vice Chair,Department of Psychiatry, Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He is one of the co-developers of TF-CBT. He has served two terms as President of APSAC and as the President of the Division of Child and Family Policy and Practice of the American Psychological Association.
