Michigan Supreme Court Grants Motion for APSAC Amicus Brief to be Filed in People v. McFarlane

The Michigan Supreme Court granted a Motion to file an Amicus Brief from APSAC in the case of People v. McFarlane. The brief argues that doctors testifying to a properly obtained diagnosis of Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) should be admissible and that expert testimony diagnosing AHT is not unfairly prejudicial nor does it comment on either the defendant’s guilt or state of mind.
