This special issue covers many important topics in child maltreatment and child welfare, including response to suspected maltreatment, addressing substance abuse disorders with parents during the pandemic, the ways in which COVID impacts issues of racial justice, and the need for shifts in child welfare in response to COVID and these co-occurring issues.
